Aerosmith just sold out and got more unoriginal when they sobered up. It's still made them 'lots of cash.

I've always like their song, "Crazy" though from their later on "sober times".

I just seen Aerosmith in concert a month or so ago. While the concert wasn't that great, the music was still pretty much spot on from what I remembered listening to when I was younger

i dunno about that....twisted transistor and coming undone are similar to their older stuff...but i'm not so much for the rest of their latest CD.

edit: it appears they have a new CD i have not yet listened to...i was referring to see you on the other side.

I am not a big Metallica fan, but they really got the raw deal on public perception about the whole piracy thing. Metallica lets fans actually bootleg their concerts and send them over the internet. The main thing Metallica was against was stuff that they didn't want released that made it's way on to the internet. AKA Demo's and Unreleased songs from the studio.

But to go back on topic I would say Metallica! 🙂

I'm torn between Aerosmith and Metallica.

Everything Aerosmith has done after getting off drugs has sucked total ass and Metallica seems to have turned into enormous pretentious assholes, so I can't decide.

Are you guys kidding me? I LOVE DMB. The lyrics are witty, and Carter Beauford is absolutely amazing. I even bought his "Under the table and drumming" dvd because its so cool to listen to. I'm 33 and since i drive 80 miles roundtrip to and from work, i want something easy to listen to, not anything to get me pumped up and aggressive.

Aerosmith's downfall wasn't being sober, it was the mainstream management they had.

In fact I think the only guy that still makes awesome music post heroin is Trent Reznor.

That doesn't include the list of awesome bands that broke up due to heroin finally killing members... AIC, Blind Melon
