Which ATI Silencer fits the AIW X800XT?

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me positively which ATI Silencer fits the AIW X800XT Video Card?

According to Arctic Coolings site, it is the model 1 rev 2, but their compatibility chart says that none of the models are compatible with the AIW X800XT.

I would like to hear from people who have this card and have actually installed the silencer on it themselves.

I just put one on yesterday.

picked it up here I have the same card you do and it fit just fine.

In the past I have had to put my card in freezer on occasion to get the HSF off the card...because the thermal paste turned to concrete, but when I replaced the stock one is came right off.

I put one on my 9700 pro last year from these guys, but this cooler is HUGE...it will stick out about 3/4 of an inch past the card...and make sure you have clearance below the new HSF also...it is a monster.

yes I do, and it is working like a champ, I have not o/c yet...with this card, no need to really for everything I have played. I got the cooler though because the stock fan started to make noises like it was going to die so i figured I better replace it before anything really bad happend....better to spend $30 than $300 to replace the card.

I will say this, they do not include a tube of thermal paste anymore...it is already placed on the cooler, and to me it seems rather thick, I cleaned it off and put my own AS paste on it...but that is up to you...if you are not going to o/c then it may not be a big deal....just a personal choice on my part.

I should add also, I had to "tweak" one of the posts just ever so slightly to get it to line up with the hole...and when I say slight I mean VERY slight...but it did not affect performance and it mounted just fine.....this may have been just my particular cooler and you may not have a need to do this, but just thought I would give a heads up.
