Ive had my mind set on the amd 3000xp 333fsb.... but is it worth the extra mula? The 2500(oem) is around $85, 2600(oem) $91, 2800(retail) $139, 3000(oem) $146.... Theres a huge jump in price from the 2600 to the 2800 and 3000. I was wondering if the extra mula is worth it.

Also, ive had a bad experience with OEM cpu's what is everybodys take on OEM and RETAIL?

Any input would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

1)If you're going to spend that much on a 3000+ just go with an AMD 64 for the same price.
2) OEM's are good if you are going to replace the heatsink and don't need to warrenty due to OCing

you can get an AMD 64 proc for 150$ and it will perform a lot better, also, if you are stuck with soc A, then get a sempy 2800+, cheaper than all of those, and performs almost teh same, plus you get warranty cause it is retail

Thanks for all the input guys, but heres the catch. Im working off of a SFF barebone, so Im stuck with a mobo that only supports up to amd 3000xp.

its the biostar 200v sff if you guys are wondering. Thanks!
