Which AMD 64 config to hit prime stable 2.5-2.7

Counting that u have a cool temp case and a nice board (i hope MSI RS480M2-IL turns out well, Monarch starts shippin on 29th)...what COMBINATIONS of Cooling, Proc and Mem u would choose for gettin prime stable 2.5 - 2.7 with solid good temps for long life?

Personal target case || cooling: Tsunami Dream || Whatever fits, dont strain, cool and yes...very quiet.

Cooling
C1) Zalman 7000 Cu/ALCu vs C1a) 7700 vs C2) XP-90 with Sanyo Denki or Panaflo vs C2a) XP-120 with Sanyo Denki or Panaflo vs C3) Your Suggestion
Proc
P1) 64 3200+ 90nm vs P2) 64 3500+ 90nm
Mem (all 1 Gig 'ah' 2-2-2-5)
M1) PDP vs M2) Ballistix vs M3) OCZ Rev 2 vs M4) Your suggestion

Thanx for help ppls 😀

If I had to settle with air cooling I'd go with
C2a and P1 and M2 ~ 2.5 - 2.6 GHz
(With the XP-90 you have to use a "loud" fan to get better cooling than the stock heatsink.)

If water was an option I'd go with
C3¹ and P2 and M4² (with the OCZ DDR Booster) ~ 2.5 - 2.9 GHz

¹ Any kit that uses 1/2" tubing
² Gskill DDR PC-4400 (DDR600 at 2.5-3-3-6 with DDR Booster)

Thanx eyeballkid

I am more leaning with the first one you said
C2a and P1 and M2 ~ 2.5 - 2.6 GHz
prefer air; not even because of the money, wanna keep it simple. OCZ Booster is interesting though, never heard of it till u pointed it out.

Anybody else has 2 cents? 🙂

I actually like the ease of the stock retention clip and the fact that at 2.7ghz now I only see 55c and 56c...I am using a stock opteron cooler from a 248 chip with the original TIM....

It is clear these chips will likely tap out due to vcore or acceptable vcore limits possibly long before heat...Therefore I got a Venus 12 Thermaltake coming with adjustable fan dial...from 2000rpm and 26.5cfm to 5000rpm and 72.9cfm...I will find somewhere in the middle that will be suitable for my coolin needs..I would like to see max temps in the range of 49-52 only.

Also stock opteron cooler is only using an Aluminum block (no copper) and fan that appears to be a tad under 80mm..

I have been using the Venus12 for nearly a year now and it is a very good cooler if you don't demand silence, opinions vary and I've got nothin' but love for it.

Whats up with that? the 70mm fan is expected but I got the Cu-Al with my 3000+ Text so they shipped the far more expensive 248 with this one? That ain't right.

I am borrowing this from MarkFW900 and it was all AL...I can't say the fan looks a lot like that cause it is spinning and I can't see the label!!! Haha.....

It does thermal adjust a bit but nothing annoying....I was going to give Mark some money for this so i decided get a bit more anmd be on the long term safe side...
