Which Adapter To Use?

I have a PCP&C 1.2KW psu with 3 8pin and 3 6 pin connections for pcie. I wanted to connect 2 gtx 580 classified ultras to it they have 2 8pin and 1 6pin per card. That would leave me short 1 8pin and an extra 6 pin. Would it be ok to use one of the following adapters and if so which would be better?

If using an adapter would cause stability problems then I'd just stick with one of those cards. For the time being I was going to run them at stock and not OC them until I was able to use a different psu with them. Thank you for any help.

Do you see it being a stability issue cards drawing more power then available? I assumed the cards on stock would be ok with that psu?

You won't have any issues. The extra pins on an 8-pin PCIe are supposed to be for +12V sense, but nobody actually implements that. Those extra wires will be able to deliver more than enough power.

My psu has one 12v rail anyways so it would all be comming from the same source even if i had the extra wires. Is there an adapater that will let me plug in an 8pin and an extra 6pin to convert to 2 8pins?
