This is something I would like to know also.. I got my 3500+ Winchester otw, and holding off on a mobo until I find one that will at least boot to dos so I can flash the BIOS. Right now I am mostly leaning toward the MSI K8 Neo2 Platinum.. anyone know if that one will at least POST and let me flash it?

I think you could possibly RMA your board for a bios flash or something. Try that before selling it and buying another one coz A8V is a great mobo otherwise.

Well I checked around MSI forums, most people say the boards will boot up enough to let you flash the BIOS. Not sure on the lesser boards, I looked for the Neo2 Platinum specifically.
