Which 939 air cooler is the best?

I only listed these coolers because I figure the basic idea behind these designs is the most efficient for getting a large amount of heat away from the processor and out of the case. If you know of one that's as good or better for cheap too (easier install preferred, but if it's worth it then it's worth it...), shout out!

Also keep in mind that I would prefer a quiet one to a loud one (especially if the performance difference is negligible).

*GASP!!!* ok, i found my answer!

EDIT: ...wish you woulda told me earlier, they're all sold out -_-...oh well, thanks neway.

I think Sunbeam Tuniq is the best from what I've read so far in the forums. You can also get a Big Typhoon which is highly rated also. If you're low on budget then stick with the stock fan or get the Freezer Pro as suggested.

P.S. I returned my 9500 and used my stock fan since I'm not Ocing it much.

budget?

Case?

the freezer is a good replacement, its cheap and will do its job, the difference between the freezer and a ninja is marginal, about 1-2C at most.

Get the freezer and dont look back.

budget...well i could spend a lot but i don't really want to. here are the deals it looks like i may have a shot at:

cnps9500 - $35
hyper 6 - $20
ninja - $30

all prices include shipping

EDIT: the freezer 64 at newegg is now $25 🙁

so, given all that, which of those is my best option?

Best cooling? Jump on a cheap external waterbox, like the nautilius 500, for 149.99

Best Budget/Performance ratio, The artic Freezer, or ninja,

Those are the two i would recomend to look at.

lemme rephrase that...best *air* cooling for the price.

EDIT: Wait...so $25 for a Freezer 64 Pro is better than a Ninja for $30 (maybe $25)? I figured a Ninja would be worth the extra $5...

I really like my xp90's. I have both the aluminum and copper versions and they both do a fantastic job. Plus the added cooling of the mosfets as a side note. I have heard the Tuniq is the best tho.

ninja really struts its stuff if you care about noise. Once you turn down the fan, the ninja pulls away from the freezer bigtime.

I voted for the Zalman, but that's just because you won't have to do anything to make it quiet. The Ninja should be great for quiet cooling if you stick a slow fan on it.

just b sure u have room 4 the ninja... i've had trouble stuffing it in a couple cases... but it's a great hsf...

Proof? link please, because all the results im seeing so far, there pretty close to each other. Within 2-3C at most, which is small when looking at load times.

I dont see the reason to waste 49.99 on the zalman, when the freezer7 will perform close to both scythe and zalman for cheap.

Also op, they usually go for 25 SHIPPED. and not 25.99 + shipping.

Which is why i still stand firm on freezer7

How does 10C sound? At a constant low noise level (~24dBA) that is how badly the Ninja beats the Freezer.

Scroll down the page - top results are for loud fan, lower results are quiet fan

yo dude, the prices i listed are ones that i can get with shipping. so i can get the freezer64 for $25 shipped, ninja for $30 (maybe 25) shipped, or a cnps9500 for $35 shipped. that's why im asking.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro 33~37 12 39°C 18 0.18 132W
Scythe Ninja, AcoustiFan 120 35 12 39°C 18 0.18 132W

"The Freezer 7 Pro did a great job of cooling at 12V. It blew past the stock cooler, and handily beat the XP-120 + Acoustifan 120 combo by a big 5°C margin. Only the Ninja + Acoustifan 120 combo could keep up. "

okey i see that for high speed.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro* 24 9.5 50°C 29 0.29 133W
Scythe Ninja, Nexus 120 23 12 40°C 19 0.19 133W

That is for low fan.

So yeah, at low speed i can see the ninja being better. But lets add costs now, the ninja doesnt come with a FAN does it? So you'd have to add a 3-4 dollar yate + shipping.

Ummmm, i still think freezer would win seeing how theres not much of a difference in temps with flow of fan. You would just need to add a rear exhaust fan to help with the pull of air, and im sure you could get pretty close to first results.

Thats why im still voting freezer.

However, i personally hate AIR. And i like how my load temps are sub 30C on water.

As i have said originally, the ninja and freezer are both excellent choices. You cant go wrong, you just need to decide which one you prefer. Im pretty sure with a rear exhaust fan sucking air from the freezer, you'll get closer to the first results. Not to mention the PWM fan will be spinning fast and slow on needed intervals to make sure your temps are in range.

the ninja does come with a fan; the guy's including a 120mm fan. btw is there a diff between freezer 7 and freezer 64 other than one being amd and the other being intel?
