I was looking at newegg, and the prices range from $270 for the PNY card (500MHz, 1600MHz) to $440 for the BFG (580MHz, 1700MHz).

I know that there has to be a serious reason for the price difference even through the cards are being over clocked to ~640MHz (http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...tid=31&threadid=2037347&enterthread=y)

Just curious which card to get for limited gaming, mainly CAD and Photoshop work. Processor is going to be the E6400.

Your resolution should determine which variants to get. To be safe, I'd think 320MB for 1280x1024 res. 640MB for anything above that.

Look harder for deals, you can find 640MB GTS for $380 or less.

I guess that settles it. I run dual monitor with the main one wide screen @ 1680 x 1050.

EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS 640MB

That is the same identical card I have now. I purchased mine on Feb 28th of this year. Been flawless. Stays nice and cool also. You'll love it.

Just noticed, thats the same price I paid. Hmmm, even the rebate is still the same.

Edit : Just don't expect a black pcb...mine was green as im sure yours will be also. I wanted the black one.
