Hi,
i am shyam and i am from india.i would like to know which nvidia 6200 i should go for[brand]?
My config is a P4 2.4ghz and 512mb [400ddr] on a p4r800-vm motherboard[ati 9100] so its gonna have to be a agp version.

My budget is not more than 130$ so i was thinking on getting the 6200 and modding it to the 6600. so i looked up at newegg and found the following:-

the evga 256mb 6200:-evga 256mb

and the leadtek 128mb:-leadtek 128mb

Does the evga256 have the nv43 core?and can the pipelines be unlocked in this model?

what are the ram speeds of these models? i mean in nanoseconds and also if the leadtek had a lower ns should i prefer that over the 256mb?

GeForceTony and I were having a conversation very similar to this last night. We came to the conclusion that either one should unlock just as well as the other. But of course to date, neither of us have any experiance with doing that.

Both are good brands, and from the people that report it, the success rate is about 75% with either brand. I'd probably go with the Leadtek card myself(and will in a couple of weeks here) because the extra RAM isn't going to help the slower GPU, and they tend to have very good build qualities.

but i cant seem to find it[asus 6200] on any online shopping store... guess i will go with the leadtek,
thank u bob
