hmmm...

Seriously, if you want to get great speakers you should consider internet brands. Personally, I believe the products these companies sell are high quality and rival what you would pay at 2x-3x at audio dealers

For speakers look @

www.ascendacoustics.com - more neutral speaker geared to the audio enthusiast who wants high performance @ cost effective price...

look at their CBM-170 monitor ( these are what I have, and I love them, better than what I auditioned at dealers, and I listened to Paradigm, NHT, B&W, Energy, Klipsch, Polk).

www.av123.com - more laid back geared to the uber geek who appreciated looks and volume that doesn't kill the ears...

look at their RS150

www.aperionaudio.com - more foward presentation, some say thin, geared more to HT...

look at their 522D bookshelfs

www.axiomaudio.com - very foward and bright...

M3Ti or M22Ti

Subwoofers...

www.svsubwoofers.com - the best no doubt...
www.hsuresearch.com - also a heavy contender...
www.adireaudio.com - not bad either...

trust me...each one of these companies offer great service. it is unparalled. my svs initialy came DOA and the guys @ SVS handbuilt me a new sub and next-dayed it to my house ( mind you they got it delivered on Saturday ) no questions ask. They didn't double charge my card or anything. very respectable guys. Take your time with this...if you buy cheep now, you will regret later ( I did, I bough a cheep Pioneer HTIB, and within 6 months I have upgraded to this ). Good Luck...
