Which 27" 2560 x 1440 Monitor? (Need 3)

I've decided that three Dell U3014s are just too rich for my blood. Therefore, I am getting rid of the one I just bought (was going to get two more), and getting three 27" monitors.

The only thing I am losing is 160 pixels vertically (the Dell is 2560 x 1600), which I doubt I will never miss.

So here are the five I am looking at right now. Does anyone have experience with any of these? Here are all seven I am considering. Should I be looking at others besides these?

What GPU/GPUs you have or are planning to get?
What are you going to do with those displays? Productivity, gaming?

For gaming I would grab something with adaptive sync. There are great freesync displays at really nice prices.

Yeah, sorry. I am a PhD student, so I will have lots of documents open at the same time (two in each monitor, six documents in all).

Will not be used for gaming!! 🙂

No gaming, just buy the cheapest IPS screens you can find. No need for fast refresh or anything for viewing documents.

🙂

I'd lean towards the BenQ or the LG that you listed. Probably the BenQ because it hits all the marks - inexpensive, IPS (for color accuracy), and decent other specs.

I've used quite a few Acer and ASUS products and I find the QC to be... lacking.

The ONLY think I don't like about the BenQ is the damn glossy bezel, which is actually a big deal to me.

I can't believe anyone ever thought glossy bezels were a good idea.

Look for something that can be re-arranged, you may want to tilt the display to vertical position to read long documents with lots of tables, drawings.
