I am going to buy either a KDS AV-195TF or a Viewsonic PF790. I saw the two side by side and the KDS looked like a crisper resolution, but it was cheaper than the Viewsonic. What is everyone else's opinion?

I've never used a KDS Avitron monitor but a friend of mine has a PF790 and he loves it. The KDS one is supposed to be good too but if it's cheaper that might mean that it's a lower quality monitor, but I wouldn't know.

Get the 900nf, by samsung. Its the bomb.
Mine is a littel squirrelly in the corner and I called them and they are sending some courrier Monday to bring a new one and take the old. Great customer service and a kicka$$ monitor.

Out of those two, KDS AV-195TF by a bit. I think the KDS looks really nice except they seem to have a high failure rate (either within days or sometimes months). Luckyily, KDS warranty is very good.

May I throw in a 3rd? Samsung 900NF. Best 19" value IMO. Try a search on these forums for 19" monitors or the specific name for more help.

Yea, 900NF is considerably better than both of them. But I would take KDS over the ViewSonic.

I've heard the samsung is good as well, but the cheapest I have found it is over 400 + shipping. I can get the kds for about 374 at Onvia with free shipping..or BestBuy has it in store with a 50 MIR..think it would be about 400 after sales tax and minus the rebate. Anyone know who sells the Samsung? especially under 400..

As far as I know Onvia doesnt give free shipping anymore, but if money is an issue then KDS would do just fine. However like Yucky said, you can find some sweet deals on the 900NF.

I checked at Onvia yesterday or day before and they still had free shipping. It just defaults to like Fedex 2day or something after entering your zip code but once you select ground shipping it's free.

I think the 900nf at Outpost.com for $420 with free overnight air is a good deal. Then subtract the $30 and it's a good price especially with overnight air.
