How much of the daily protein intake would you guys recommend come from whey supplements? I currently weigh 190 and am having a hard time eating 300 to 350 grams of protein per day and use 2 scoops of isopure (50 grams of protein) after lifting. Is it ok to double this to 2 shakes per day? (100grams)

I think you're eating whey too much protein, but it's up to you, it won't hurt you.

I've heard of bodybuilders getting almost all of their protein from supplements without a problem. You should be okay. I currently get about 50g/day from protein powder.

Consuming >300 grams of protein, and from highly processed food sources such as whey won't hurt you, but there isn't any special benefit in regards to muscle protein synthesis. Drop protein to 160-190 grams and add in more carbs and fats. It's much cheaper to do so.

At 190lbs, even 190g of protein is way more than the amount of protein you need as dictated in research for highly active strength athletes. Eat more real food, drink less whey.

Anything in the 125 - 150 range is enough for you. You don't need 300 to 350 grams of protein per day
