I need a new detector and would like to have a GPS system.. but I havent see or heard of any combination.

I'd gladly shell out 500-600 bucks for a combo.. seeing as how a decent radar runs about 250 and a low end GPS is at least 300..

It seems like the perfect combo does it not?

why would you be speeding when lost, it just means you are probably getting further than where you should be going. :p

very funny wise guy  :p

It looks like they have similar things in europe but not really what I need here in the states.. some navies in europe have a database of known speed traps and tell you when they are comin up. Of course roads in the U.S might as well be from the flintstone era so I really just need a good ol fashioned radar detector!

This one website labeled a whistler model as a "radar detector w/3.5 inch LCD screen" and I almost crapped my pants but it was just mislabeled and I had to cry..

pleaaseee... one must exist...

1. File a patent...
2. Get some company to manufacture such a product
3. Profit $

You probably have to upload a file to the unit that has all the cameras listed as POIs.

If it's a Garmin it probably uses POI Loader to let you upload camera locations.

If you travel the GSP, NJTP or 287 frequently enough, you should know where the coppas are hiding out. They only have a handful of spots to lurk.

Especially with the guardrail they installed on 287 starting at exit 1 -- now they have even less spots.
