Where's the first place you drove alone after you got your license?

I remember getting my license when I was 16 and driving home with my mom in the car. But the first place I drove alone was to my best friend Brian's house. He lived 2.3 miles away from me and we used to ride bikes back & forth between our homes. I remember driving all by myself to his house one afternoon, and pull up his long hill of a driveway, then pulling around to the front of his house and getting out and I felt bigger than life. It was such a great feeling to be able to go where I wanted in a car, without supervision.

i drove to the library that was 2 miles away, that was the first time alone, the FIRST time i drove was to school or work, can't remember

straight to my girlfriend's house and then just cruised around, went to the mall, went to dinner. I pretty much broke the main junior license law an hour after i got it. Legally i wasnt suppose to drive another person for six months.

Got my first car the day I got my license. My mom bought it from one of her friends, and she let me drive it home while she stayed and socialized. I miss that car, '90 Pontiac Grand Am.

I drove to Rite Aid to get some ice cream . . . it really is a once in a lifetime feeling . . .

I drove back to school which was about 60 miles away. For fun, the first place was to the movie theater.

I remember at first i used to drive circles around the parking loud outside my dorm because i liked my car so much.

Now i hate driving. Too much road rage and traffic.

Hmmm, right after I passed my driving test and received the white paper slip I went home and had my dad call the insurance company to add me to the policy. Luckily, they were able to do it right then and there and I was able to drive to get my hair cut about 10 minutes later. Sure was a weird feeling being alone in the car, but oh so liberating.

However, it's very hard to recall the feeling I had then since it truly is a one in a lifetime experience as others have said.

I got on Rt 20 and drove west until I ran out of gas. Then I got more and drove back.
