Where's the best place to stay in the Florida keys?

Should I stay in Key West or is there a better option? Planning on going 12/4 - 12/10.

haha, I stay away from key west whenever possible. 😉

Marathon Key is a nice option. Nice and quiet relative to Key West and not too far away if you want to spend a day there. Key West is just so infested with drunk people 24/7 that it's not all that much fun for very long IMHO.

It depends if you want 'Key West' or not.

Marathon is where I go, but we boat not hang out on land.

I visited Key Largo for 3 days about 20 years ago and had a blast. Don't know how things are now though.
