I've worked in a warehouse, so yes I understand. My A/C comment came from the fact that you can't really have your workers passing out, so something needs to be done.

Gotcha Eli. While I agree with you that workers shouldn't be passing out, its all an issue of hydration. Give them more fans or something to move the air around or like it was said, send them home if they get sick from the heat, they do that with construction workers all the time.

AC just isn't feasible in a warehouse like that though.

When I worked at Intel in one of their warehouses, the south facing concrete wall would literally be 110 degrees - on the inside. It was pretty brutal. They gave us those headbands with the gel stuff in them that you would get wet and wear, and also had lots of fans. It helped.

We all dreamed of A/C, but knew it would never happen. Like you say, it's just not feasible in such a large space with corrugated metal walls(no insulation).

I worked as a "Loader" for UPS during my college days. I worked the afternoon shift and let me tell you the temperature inside the trailer during the summer can reach up to 125 degree. You think I have a fan or A/C. I am lucky just to get a breeze of the wind. You work in a warehouse deal with it.

Cost to deliver A/C for a warehouse would be stupid. Probably minimal, if any, insulation, humungous volume of air, retarded infiltration/exfiltration from open bays/doors and cracks in walls, etc.

Fans should be reasonable.
