Where's my bottleneck?

Abit KN8 mobo
AMD 4000+ San Diego
2 GB Corsair XMS 2-3-3-6
Evga 7800GTX

Everything is stock settings atm, so which is gonna bottleneck me, the GPU or CPU?

For certain? So will OCing the GPU shift the bottleneck to the CPU or would I have to SLI to bottleneck the proc?

In general i read that unless a cpu is more powerful than the A643200+ then todays top end GPU's will not be bottlenecked. I think your proc will be able to handle all GPU configurations today including SLI. I dont believe you will be able to overclock it enough to make the cpu a bottleneck, that would probably require somthing like a 80-100% overclock.

Your system is fast as hell anyways, you dont need to worry about a bottleneck.

there will never be a perfect balance, the way you're acting on things you'll just keep upgrading, when u go sli then you'll need a faster proc and so on

I wasn't planning on SLIing - I can't afford that...

I was just going to try fiddling with OCing my system a little bit and wondering whether I needed to bother with the proc or just the GPU. Guess you guys answered my question. I didn't realize the CPUs were that far ahead of the vidcards.

Theyre not, games just dont take as much CPU power as GPU power.
