Where's my Android 2.1 update for my Droid!

Wasn't it supposed to be released on 22 Jan? Still haven't gotten a notice on my phone, nor do I see anything on Engadget, BGR, or elsewhere.

Nothing got pushed out, and there's really nothing out there to say any other date. There were rumors of a patch (62mb) being pushed out last week, but not installing. Some are saying that might have been to fix a few Droids that were flashed in the store to 2.0.1. Read elsewhere that it might have been a failed attempt to push some kind of update. Nothing official anyway. The 22 date was just a rumored date, nothing behind it but that. There is a good chance something might come out this week though, but never know. I read that the 2.1 upgrade has passed Moto internal testing.

Geez man, 2.0 barely came out 3 months ago. Give them some time.

Jan 22 was announced as a maintenance release. Nothing more. Even more significantly, the fixes announced were primarily for the Eris, which did get the update a few days early.

I noticed that the Acer Liquid (Android, Snapdragon) is getting 2.1 in March. It's on 1.6 now though. I don't understand how the whole Android release thing works.

There is no announced date for 2.1 and droid but there are some pretty confident folks over at Alldroid and droidforums that say it's coming from the end of the month. I just put BB .8.2 on my Droid http://alldroid.org/viewtopic.php?f=309&t=1391 the number of good ROMs available for the droid is skyrocketing.
