Where to stay in San Francisco?

I always stayed at the Westin St. Francis when I went to SFO before, right in the middle of downtown and close to a BART station...

anyone use one of those hotwire deals for SF? Looks awfully tempting for hotel rooms under $100.

Great hotel, price, location...

all these suggestions are great.. i dunno about hotels though.. i was born and raised here... i'll open myself to questions if you wanna pm me.. but as i said, most things are already mentioned.. golden gate park is fun.. you can rent a bike and ride around, and definately go for a boat tour of the bay(expensive) or alcatraz.. or both... the weather usually hangs around 70 over the summer.. it's really nice.... well i guess that depends.. we had a couple of people from indiana here from our main office, and one was complaining how hot it was and how humid it was... i think she's just nuts, cause it's like 60 degrees out here now... to each their own..
