Hi there,
Where can I purchase some quality Cmos batteries? My battery on the ECS K7S5A motherboard keeps resetting to default settings. Fustrating indeed. Radioshack, CompUSA???? Also how much???? 10 bux?

Thanks

Take the battery with you to Radiocrack, match it up with the ones on the display rack, that's what I did ;)

Radiocrack, about 4 bucks.

Hi Roger, any particular brand? Is it a standard CRC cmos battery?

thanks

They have numbers on them; CR2032 is a common one if I'm remembering that number right; I know 2032 is in it, with no other numbers. :)
Yeah, Walmart does have them. The numbering system is the same among different manufacturers.
Just don't say "Computer CMOS battery" to the Walmart worker. They probably will look at you for awhile, waiting for an explanation. I know, because I work at one. The overnight electronics guy knows to call me if there's any questions computer-related - I've more computer expertise than anyone there's expected to have.:D

Go to a pharmacy like Eckerd and Walgreens. They aren't CMOS batteries. They are just watch batteries.
