Title says it all. Amazon is sold out of the 8-pack with no restock date, Buy.com is sold out too. I'd try eBay but I don't want to risk getting counterfeits...

Haven't got a Costco membership, everyone I know has a Sam's Club membership and I've got a BJs Warehouse membership.

Yes, I was just at Costco lastnight and they have the kits for $25. I'm sure Sam's Club or BJ's also carries them.

Bah, shipping kills their prices; ends up being the same at Amazon if I buy two 4 packs plus I've got a Prime trial, so free 2-day shipping.

It's a great company...smaller shop than Amazon. Sort of like how sometimes Nordstroms and K-Mart has the same item, but K-Mart will be loads cheaper.

I have ordered MAHA products from Thomas Distributing since my Canon A50 back years and years ago.

Holy crap. Sucks with the markup we have here in Canada. A pack of 8 AAs was $40 :(

Except that Amazon is sold out. ;)

Thomas also has some nice chargers.
The mini-Cadillac of battery chargers, and its big brother.

Steve's Digicam review. There's a link at the bottom for another review at Imaging-Resource's website.
For AA's and AAA's, the MAHA MH-C204F-DC is supposed to be a good charger.

There's also the C401FS, which has 4 independent charging circuits. The C204F only has two charging circuits, which seems to mean that you have to charge cells in 2's or 4's. With the C401FS, put in any number of cells from 1-4. This one's probably the better buy, as it gives individual attention to each cell being charged. The C204F will treat both cells in the pair exactly the same - if one happens to charge faster than the other, it might get a little overcharge while the other one continues to absorb energy. Yes, it's more expensive, but it's friendlier to its customers.

Then there's the C800S, with 8 independent charging circuits. It also has a nifty little LCD readout for each cell, and selectable charging modes.

They've also got a Specials section, and among other things, is a section with items that'll score you a discount on shipping.

(Sorry to sound like a pimp for Thomas Distributing, but I've had nothing but good buying experiences from them.)

You can also try Rayovac Hybrids. They're plentiful in most stores. I usually get them at Wal Mart for ~$8 a 4 pack. They're basically the same as eneloops.

I recently I bought 2 8packs of eneloops on amazon... I have more than enough rechargeable aa's now. Haha.

durracel hybrid/rayovac hybrid can be found for 9.99 for 4 packs at target or walmart.
enloop isnt special anymore really, its the same as the other "precharged" low discharge type.

last time i went to walmart the rayovacs still had a rebate thing stuck to them, buy 2 i think and you get 5 bucks back. might still be valid, dunno.
