where to leave a car for 4 months

in orlando florida....

i have a friend going to russia for 4 months and she can't leave her car in my neighborhood because unattended cars get towed, and i imagine a car in a tow yard for 4 months will be sold or scrapped.

suggestions?

hahaha, they are on their way up here right now. they'll be here in two hours. storage places are closed. i was just curious if there was an easier solution.

Why couldn't she just park it in someone's garage and pay them the $100 per month?

EDIT: Someone's gotta say it!

basically, we used to be friends but i never talk to her. now she's in need and she's putting this huge imposition on me and i'd like to come up with a quick solution, but if there is none, then fuck it.

should i just put it on the street in my neighborhood and risk it that?

storage facility or fvck this russkie, let her worry about it herself. put it on your street and after it gets towed email her simply that it's not there anymore, then don't reply to emails.

failure to plan on her part does not constitute an emergency on yours. just get the keys and move it every couple of days.

heh maybe i'll move it once a week for 4 months. that's still like, 16 extra things i have to do.

she should've had her parents bring her straight to the airport, drop her off, and go back to tampa.

she lives in a college town 2 hours from here with no airport. she's flying to russia. you have to go out of orlando intl.

Not unless you want to be the one responsible for getting it out of the tow yard after she cries at you when/if you call to tell her. Unless you want to babysit it just have her park it anywhere fucking else so it's not your problem.

i told her the risk. she doesn't care. nothing bad has ever happened to her. why should this be any different?

Given what little bit of information we have, unless you want to be stuck with moving her car at least once per week for 4 months, either tell her she's out of luck...and can park in the long-term parking lot at the airport or a park-n-ride lot, pre-paid for 4 months...or tell her to pay you $1000 and you'll put it in storage for her and refund her any excess over the rental charges. That way, YOU don't have to pay for the storage and maybe get stuck for the bill when she returns and doesn't have any money...otherwise, tell her you don't have any other options for her.
