Where to go fishing in Bay Area?

I've been here (SF bay area) for a couple years and never gone for fishing. Any recommendation around bay area, any rivers/lakes? I like all kinds of fish.

I was thinking of saltwater fishing but don't know where to find a cheap trip to join. I found a lot of fishing boat service here but it costs at least $50-$60/person 🙁

San Pablo reservoir and the SacTown delta are popular places last time I went fishing years ago.

when i was younger, San Pablo Dam or Clear Lake

occasionally in the bar off Rock Wall in Alameda.

there is a "sure catch" place down off of 101 a little past san jose, before morgan hill

I know this one. It is on the way to Gilroy outlet right? The lake looks so small. Maybe next time drive there to fish instead of shopping 🙂
