I know I can get it online for like $1 a foot. But is there anywhere locally that would have this stuff? I have tried Home Depot, Auto Zone, and another car parts store, but no one seems to have it. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

If you are unable to find the stuff locally, then think about ordering from PCMods.com. They're having a sale that includes their Translucent Molding. Pretty cheap, but the shipping may kill the deal for you. Good luck.

If I was just doing blowholes than no molding might be acceptable, but with a window I need it.

Maybe you could try a local glass repair shop. You know the ones who do auto, home and other glass? I'd bet they'd have something you could use and you could probably get it for a pretty good price too. They don't sell the stuff retail, but most shops like that will hook you up if you ask.
Examples: I needed some speaker cloth to make fan filters and was having a hard time finding it so I went to a car stereo installation shop and the gave me enough to last the rest of my life for $2.
I was looking for an odd sized screen door guard to keep my dog from tearing up my sliding screen door and couldn't find one. Went to a local heating and air conditioning shop and they made one for me for the cost of materials plus a few bucks. You could probably get these guys to cut your holes real proffesional like pretty cheap too.
Just some examples to show that just because Wal Mart doesn't have it, doesn't mean you can't get it.

Well I have tried local glass shops, more auto parts stores, and still no luck. I will try one more computer store and if they don't have it I am just going to have to pay $8 for it online.

if you're looking for U molding, then I know auto zone has it, as does Pep boys... lots of places. If your talking about locking strip/window stuff.. good luck, check glass installers, but they prob. wont have it. Online is the best place for it. You may have missed it in Auto zone. Ask them where the Door edge molding is, in silver color. they'll know what your lookin for. If you need cold cathodes, go to SVC.com and for neon (not as nice) goto walmart: 10$ a stick.
As for windows, i always cut them bigger than the hole, and velcroed them on, used U molding. That way, i can pop them out and clean em. Or replace them when they get scratched.

Yes I am looking for U molding, but nobody seems to know what the heck I am talking about. I am sick right now so I can't go look for it, but I will check back at a few places over the weekend.
