Where to get WinCE apps? Stuff like AIM, Firefox, etc.

Is there somewhere to download WinCE versions of desktop Windows apps? Do they exist?

Looking to spruce up my CVS Netbook.

I will probably be looking for a Android 2.2 flash BIOS update in the future too, if the WinCE doesn't pan out.

WinCE's been pretty much a non player since release, hasn't it? Couldn't you get some kind of Linux on that box?

I got this netbook/smartbook yesterday. I'd be interested in running Android on it, or some form of Linux, if possible. I'm techie enough to get a flash drive with the Ubuntu Netbook Remix on a flash drive, but not quite techie enough to figure out how to get the device to boot from it. 🙂

There's a button push at POST that lets you select a boot device. Traditionally it's F8, but it could be other keys. Going from memory, I think my Eee is Esc to get into the boot menu, but I might be misremembering.

Tried it, but none of the function buttons will lead to a boot menu on bootup. It looks like the system just ignores button presses.
