I'd like to try out the demo of Vista just for fun. Is this possible? I know some AT people have it. How/where do I get it. Is it legal?
 
I got it... Illegally. How do you legally become a beta tester? Is it only for Microsoft Employees? Or random people that sign up?

I think you need to be a member of MSDN. Sign up for it, and ditch the pirated version.
 
Umm you have to be a corporate member of MSDN (the highest level which is really expensive) I think. Of course you can get it illegally. It would be wrong for me to endorse piracy but you might want to look on IRC servers.

Microsoft is releasing a public beta of Vista next month (IIRC).

However, based on what I have heard, it might be postponed to early next year.

Saying to look on IRC servers is like tellling someone who's searching for a thorough breed dog to look at some farms... I highly doubt someone who couldn't already easily find it would beable to pop onto an IRC server and find it.
 
Lol, far be it for me to promote it but use IRC spy or packnet news to search IRC servers dont do it yourself. (im sure theres legal reasons for doing taht)
