Where to get replacement parts for broken right button on 360 controller?

So I need to replace the right button on an Xbox 360 controller. I've not found any individual buttons for sale, but it looks like replacement shells may include those buttons?

What would be the best way to get this fixed and where should I buy the parts? TIA!

Well you can find the ABXY buttons all day and night, but not the RB/LB it seems.

There are these "controller shells" for sale to change the color, I just need to confirm if they include the buttons, which I would think they do. I also need to disassemble mine and see exactly what is wrong with the controller.

Unless you can find the button by itself it might be cheaper for you to just replace the controller given the current prices ($30 w/free shipping at Amazon last time I checked).

Yeah I thought about that as well, but these shells are $10-15 shipped. Between the cost savings and not wasting more stuff, I'd rather do this if at all possible. It's only the dang RB - stupid cats knock the controllers to the marble floor all day long

Marble floors.... and cats... and you can't afford a new controller.....................................................................

1) It's a rental
2) Cats were free (Mother Nature FTW)
3) It's not about affording - it's about not spending money when I don't have to, and not creating more junk to be disposed of.

Free cats FTW. We adopted two just after Christmas...mine enjoy jumping on my lap when I'm racing thereby unplugging my headset...if you ever hear me go silent that might be the cause D:
My fiancee adopted one a couple years back, then almost 2 years she escaped and wasn't fixed (silly women). Found her five harrowing days later and within a couple months we had 7 kittens on our hands. Two of the kittens were my fiancee's favorites for various reasons, and a third survived having her head stepped on at only a month old (thanks to some good anti-inflammatory IV meds and us medicating her every hour for 36 hours), so she had to stay too. Now we have four indoor cats, tons of cat hair everywhere, and three litterboxes that don't stay clean for long. Gotta love 'em... 😉

It's rough sometimes. My ex had four cats at one point also, but they were all outdoor cats so it was far less of an issue. I just wish we had trained the kittens to use the toilet, damn litter boxes...

No kidding. We just got back from a 3 day weekend out of state and the guy who was supposed to clean the litterbox...didn't.

Oh man it was awful...

Where can I rent marblefloor apartments and get free Bengals?

The answer to both questions is: Florida.

Other acceptable questions would have been "Where is the news filled with reports of senseless violence and hit & run attacks on a daily basis?" or "Where are the roads filled with the newest luxury cars every single year?"

LB/center/RB is one long piece of plastic with molded "hinges". My guess is that the microswitch or its board was damaged or knocked out of place. You should open it and see before buying any parts.

I have buttons from a dead controller that I may be able to send you for a few cents to cover postage. Just make sure its the actual plastic button that needs to be replaced and not a problem with the little switch inside.

Thanks guys, I will look into this.

A quick Google says I can get into the controller with a precision screwdriver, rather than buying a freaking security-bit-Torx thingie.

Considering that my working black controller has effing DISAPPEARED (damn cats), I am running without a RB now. It didn't mess me up too much in MW2 last night though, and I don't use it at all in Forza 3 luckily.

check the litter box 😱

They did something, I know it. I played some Monday night, came home from work Tuesday night and the controller was gone. I searched for a good five minutes (five agonizing minutes I tell you). I even checked the kitchen and bathroom in case I wandered off with it. Frustrating!!
