The ATI driver site here won't let you download drivers for the LE, but anything else is fair game. Where can I find the most up-to-date drivers?

Just use the latest Radeon DDR drivers. In fact, although the latest Radeon drivers disable HyperZ upon detection of a Radeon LE BIOS, the card is still reported as a Radeon DDR.

X-bit did a review of the card and found that, when re-enabling HyperZ for Direct 3D using the Windows Registry, and raising the clock speed to the standard 166 MHz as opposed to 143, the Radeon LE performs within 1% of the Radeon DDR on all benchmarks.

Do you have a link?

I'd love to do this, but would I need a fan for the GPU to overclock it? I don't (and won't) have one for the computer I am building tomorrow.

I've heard people say they o/c'ed to Radeon 32 Retail speeds without a fan. You might want to be safe and put a fan on.

I'm not really sure about the Radeon LE, but can't you just put a 486 or pentium fan on it?

The Radeon core itself can hit 165 MHz without even a heatsink. The HSF unit that ATi uses is just for cosmetics: people equate high temperature with high performance.

Without a heatsink huh? Cool.
No pun intended.

I had an extra Socket 7 heatsink and fan, so I just screwed in the fan from it and it fit almost perfectly. Figured why the hell not :)

I get all my drivers from Rage3d
