wait, so you're extracting this into HCl to lower the dose? Why not just chop up the pill? I'd be extremely hesitant to acidify a tablet and then try to use the drug, and I'm a chemist.
I'm a chemist too and I agree. And what about the inactive ingredients in the pill: colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, lactose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and povidone, will they all dissolve in HCl???
