Where to get good remanufactured toners?

My Samsung ML-2010 that I scored for 39.95 has just ran out of toner. . .

I was looking and there are tons of places that sell remanufactered toners for half of the new price? I was looking for some in here that had good experiences with a certain place or any advice for me. . .

New = 80$
Reman = 40$

TIA for advice
 
why not just refill it ?

have you checked ebay ?

it's real cheap for the refills

BTW.. I have the same printer 😛
I haven't opened mine yet tho, but I'm gonna buy couple refills.
 
I thought about refilling it -but check out the ebay page - the reman toners are fairly cheap and without the hassel of messing with powdered toner 🙂

My main thing is all toner alike? I know when I used inkjets there were some aftermarket cartridges that would gum your printer up. Are aftermarket toners usually problem free or is it buyer beware as well?

Don't really know much about it is all. . .

Well there is quite a different in price.

You can basically refill the same toner 4-6 times for the price of 1 remanufactured toner.

Plus, I think the black powder is filled using a thin nozzel, so i doubt it would make much mess.
If all else, do it over the sink or the tub 😛
 
Just buy a 3rd party cheapo toner cartridge off of ebay. The only reason you should use OEM cartridges is for warranty purposes.

thats wierd. Me too. I got mine like 2 years ago and it just ran out. I took it out and shook it and its working again though 🙂 Ive been pricing toner cartridges as ll ..

 
Nothing is worse than refurbs.
We go through dozens of toner carts a month at work, we've tried countless refurb/refills and even 3rd party new (Verbatim, Roswell etc) trying to save a buck or 2. The all eventually leak in the printer, fall WAY short of page output numbers, and generally suck. We by nothing but OEM carts now. Sure they are more expensive but you get what you pay for.

One other important factor.... do non-OEM cartridges shorten the life of the printer?
 
If you like toner spilled all in your printer and problems with print quality and possible damage to your printer, go ahead and get remanufactured or refilled cartridges. I won't allow any of that crap to be purchased at work. It's not worth the hassle.
 
I'd also try the refill route. That's what I'm going to do next time. The physical toner cartridge will wear out over time but it should be good for at least 1 or 2 refills. I've never done a refill or a remanufactured one but will try one next time for sure.

Exactly the route/path we went down.
Newegg has great prices (the best I've found) on OEM HP carts too.
 
Yup, no reman cartridges here. With HP the imaging drum is on the toner and when buying the refilled units from Office Depot or wherever, they just refil it and do a visual inspection of the drum and send it out. I would say 1 in 4 of the refills people order here, even though I tell them no to, are bad.

I can get a genuine HP toner direct from HP for $73.
I can get a remanuf'd from Precision for $31.
I can get a remanuf'd from Monoprice for $21. WOW

But I don't see much info at Monoprice as far as their guarantee, page yield info, etc. EMailed them and waiting for a response.

i ordered ink for my canon mp500 from them. everything went ok as far as the sale, but the mp500 cartridges have a computer chip on them. the swiftink ones don't, so you have to move the chip from the old to the new. this didn't work for me. so I ended up returning rest for a refund, no hassle.

i ordered the official ones from amazon, 4 color carts and 2 black for like $61.## shipped.
