where to get girl scout cookies?

i just got hit with a craving for thin mints... where do i go to get girl scout cookies? or do i have to just wait until they come around with them?

Check at the local schools and grocery stores. 🙂

You could also look for the Thin Mint Edy's Ice Cream. 🙂

There was some scouts today sellin em infront of the library. They offered me and they made them look really good too since they were pigging out on them 😀 lol

Since my wife is the cookie mother, we had 2,070 boxes of Girl Scout cookies in our garage during the past few weeks. However, as of Sunday afternoon, all of the cookies are gone.

Many Girl Scout groups are having booth sales. The booth sales usually start on Friday evening and are held during the afternoons on Saturdays and Sundays. Wal-Mart and other retailers are allowing the Girl Scouts to sell cookies in front of their stores. The cookie sales will continue through the month of March. However, other troops could be selling their cookies off as quickly as the troop my daughter is associated with. Then, the cookies are gone for another year. 🙁 - Surprisingly, I've only eaten about "6" yes, six cookies and exhibited excellent control when all of those cookies were sitting in my garage. I didn't sneak out there during the night for a snack. However, there are about 7 boxes that I still need to distribute to my friends that I keep eyeing from time-to-time, though.
 
From what I learned from the neighborhood cookie seller's mom this year:

You can only get them when the girlie scouts come around, and even though they're only sold once (or is it twice) a year, the thin mints are the #3 selling cookie in the USA, behind Oreos and Chips Ahoy.

Dunno if it's true, but I thought it was interesting.

What you've said is partially true. Orders for cookies were taken during late-January. However, each troop orders some extra cases for booth sales. In a booth sale, they set up their table and solicit potential customers outside of grocery stores and other stores within your community. I've never heard of the cookies being sold twice in a year. In our area, the sales only happen once in a year. It's quite a big under-taking and having two cookie sales per year would be a bit rough. As a result of my daughter's troop selling 2,070 boxes of cookies, their troop has earned $1,035 to use for various group activities and outings.

lol. There were some selling some in front of my local Albertsons market. Kinda felt sorry that I dind't buy any, I only had $1 cash on me. 😛

Take a drive to Irvine and you can get some.

I saw your thread in FS/FT. I don't know about the variety you're talking about but are there any with chocolate??
