There's absolutely nothing illegal about it since it doesn't have any of the DeCSS code.

I think they did integrate CSS decryption at one time, and with the whole fuss over the legality of it, distribution was supposed to have stopped.

Keyword supposed. ;)

Long live DeCSS!!! To hell with the MPAA. I'm a big fan of unrestricted capitalism, but the MPAA has twisted the copyright laws to their own ends and upset the balance of interests between producers and consumers of digital content.

Bad luck to those idiot lawyers trying to rid the internet of DeCSS.

What's the big deal? The Flask MPEG homepage works perfectly. Even the file download links. BTW The author of Flask (Flasky) never included the DeCSS code in his program - but since it's an open source program, someone else went ahead and integrated DeCSS and started distributing it. There are actually quite a few derivatives of Flask... there's one particularly good version which is speed-optimized. About 30 to 50% faster on an Athlon or Pentium 3.

DeCSS isn't that great of a ripper anyway. Your better off with VOBDEC, and then grab a GUI for it :)
