Where to get a power converter for travel?

I'm going to Australia for 10 days, then Korea for 5 months. I need to get a 220V to 110V converter that will run my laptop and other assorted items. As far as I know, Korea uses a type F plug, and Australia uses a Type I, and both are 220. Where can I get a good power converter of a few hundred watts? My devices are US-based, so I need to step the 220V down to 110V.

Does your current laptop power converter say it works for 110-220V? If so, you can just get a plug converter. Most do nowadays. I did this when I went to China and my laptop worked fine. Most hotels even supplied the plug necessary.

If you're really lazy, just look around whatever Airport(s) you go to. It'l be overpriced, but it'l be there somewhere.

Excellent point. I'll have to check that when it arrives. Replacement ones on eBay are 100-240v, so I'm pretty sure the stock one will be as good.

i picked one up at radio shack but i should have just waited and bought one at the airport. the set at the duty free shop was really nice and had more options than the one from radioshack.

You'll be surprise how many electronic devices are compatible with 110V and 220V. Last time I traveled to Asia, I only needed to get one of those universal plug.
