Hi Guys,

I'm from Germany... but I lived in the US for a couple years till 2005. Because of family-reasons I had to go back to Germany.

Well, my question is: Where can I get some kind of a post-office-box ... to be able to receive letters from companies that only accept customers from the US ?!

Maybe some of you have an idea.

thanks a lot!

The post office, but that won't do you any good if you live in Germany, how would you check it? Honestly though, I'd get a UPS box if you are able to pick up your mail, a UPS box can receive UPS, Fedex, DHL & USPS mail.

The post office.

As mentioned already, this is the most logical place to get a post office box, but the question remains; how are you going to get the mail that is in that box if you're in Germany? I don't know if there are any legitimate "forwarding services" where you could have your packages shipped, who would then send them on to you. (I'm sure the fees would be pretty steep for such things.)

Remember that mail can not be forward by the PO to the UPS or any of the other mailbox drop places.

That may be. I was told by the PO that they would not forward mail to a UPS store.

I would recommend renting a private mail box rather than USPS Post Office which will not forward your mail, unless you recently moved.

PostNet and The UPS Store are the two most popular.

Here are some other mail box rentals based in or near Columbus, NC.
