How's the Alexis Park? I'm thinking about staying there for a con later this year, but the Bellagio looks pretty sweet too.

You mean Def Con?

Its convient if you're staying there, but dont' expect to hop into the pool or great grub. Unless you don't mind paying $8.00 bucks for hot dog and beer. There is decent Viet/Chinese resturant down the street. Also Hard Rock Hotel is next door. I did the "Con" one year, it was kewl.

I stayed at the Monte Carlo, it was 150/night for friday and saturday night. It was a pretty nice hotel, much better than the Sahara. If you want a place on the strip, but is kind of ghetto, check out Barbary Coast (never stayed there, or know anyone who has) My brother stayed at Casino Royale which is on the strip and ghetto as well, He was there for New Years, so prices were outrageous everywhere.

Thats the one 🙂 I'll probably go on the trip with my dad and go to the con while he tours the town but I'm debating if the AP is all that nice of a place. I could take a cab over and we could stay at a cooler spot 🙂

All the rooms (almost) are cheap in Vegas. So are the airfares. They have these thiongs called casinos where they take enough money to subsidize both.

Hmm, good point. City built on sin.

I've stayed at Barbary Coast. $45/night in July 2 yrs. ago. It accomplished what it needed to - which was providing me a place to sleep right in the heart of the strip.
