Where to find win2k cdkey in registry?

Ive inherited an old 1.7ghz system that has win2k installed. My father-inlaw was gonna junk the machine but gave to me instead. However he lost the win cd long ago. Id like to do a win2k reinstall but where can i find the original cd key in registry?

There is a program that you can download that will tell you. It is quick, free, and accurate. Let me see if I can locate it again via google. I have it at home, but i am work.. so that kind of makes it difficult 🙂

I think it is simply called KeyFinder.

Some of those keyfinders discretely send the keys off to warez people. Beware to never use one that you haven't heard of before!!
