I want to use aforementioned solenoid to create a custom mini-clutch. Said mini-clutch will be attatched to a small DC electric engine. The solenoid will be activated by the push of a button. The button, which will open/close a relay, will then in turn actuates the solenoid.

What about the electric clutch assembly from the air conditioner compressor used in motorcars?

If you're looking for something online, just google "electronic components solenoids". If you're looking for something local, any electrical supply store should have some. If you can find a wholesale place that sales security systems, they are almost guaranteed to have some. 12V solenoids are used all the time in security systems to control door access.
