Where to find original Sega Master System?

why not ebay?

i was thinking of getting a sega genesis and a copy of the original toe jam and earl. they have them on ebay

You know, as tempting as it is for me to get on ebay and buy the orignal NES, Sega master System, Genesis, and SuperNES, I can't.
I can only imagine how old and pathetic I would look setting in front of the television living my elementry through Jr High days....

Yeah, this one is at the request of the woman who misses playing the system from years ago... now I'm looking around for a Virtual Boy. The system pretty much bombed, but I liked a few of the games when I rented it from Blockbuster forever ago.

Does your Hollywood Video have a GameCrazy attached to it?

Oh, and if you arent worried about the legal aspects, you can get everything on emulators now.

Stay away from the games with the batteries. I think Link uses an internal battery inside the game to hold memory. I can only imagine that every game ever created is out of juice by now

You can open up old NES, SNES, Genesis, and other games with batteries and replace the battery. It's fairly easy to do.

I have a boxed Sega Master System here and a few games. I am arranging to get an original NES right now, as well.

Fantasy Zone was grrrrrrreat... there were a few more though... lemme try to remember them.

plenty of great SMS games like Fantasy Zone 1 & 2, Shinobi, Castle of Illusion, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy 3: The Dragon's Trap, Kenseiden, Quartet...etc.. I remember having an SMS and tons of games including some of those card games like My Hero and Ghost House.

Remember those great 3D Glasses?? They looked pretty snazzy back then (I swear lots of old folks these days were something that looks really close to the old Sega glasses). Not many games were made for the glasses though... I remember Zaxxon 3D, Space Harrier 3D and Maze Hunter.

..man..memories!

Were the games for the 3D Glasses good? I never played them... there's a system on ebay with the 3D Glasses right now that I was looking at.

Not really. Zaxxon 3D was bad and was not really like the arcade..sorta. Its like the arcade game done in first person instead of that isometric view. Space Harrier 3D is hideous and is garbage compared to the original. Maze Hunter 3D (overhead action game) and Blade Eagle 3D (overhead shooter) are ok. Missile Defense 3D is sorta like Missile Command in a way.. its ok.

Not sure if any other games were made for the glasses. For the most part the games for it are pretty bad but I suppose if you could get the glasses with games for cheap it would be a neat item to have.

Wow, we had a lot of the same cartridges! Ghost House, My Hero, Shinobi. Wonder Boy 3 IMHO was a game that was way ahead of it's time when it came out. Such a great one!

Heck yeah! Wonder boy 3 was the stuff back in the day!

For not mentioning the original PHANTASY STAR yet in this thread full of standout SMS titles, you should all slap yourselves. Immediately.

The 3D glasses were the absolute greatest. SO much better than those 50's movie theatre pieces of sh¡t that were pack-ins with Rad Racer on NES. Used the card slot on the system, which was super-cool in and of itself.

Oh yeah, can't forget the pause button on the system itself, not the controllers. 😀

They re-released the original Phantasy Star on PS2 in Japan, don't know if they updated anything. From the looks of the packaging, I get the feeling that it has the same story, et cetera, but new graphics. All speculation on my part. Quite frankly, I would be happy with Phantasy Star I-IV on one disc with the games in their original form.

did anyone here actually beat Space Harrier for the master system? I remember that game was friggin intense and hard as heck as you got to the later levels.
