I've been looking around trying to find a nice desk/work area that I can put in my new apartment next year... OfficeMax and OfficeDepot don't have a very wide selection, and nothing like what I am looking for really.

I'm trying to find an L-shaped workcenter to put in the corner... I would like at least one filing cabinet, a medium sized bookshelf, and a good amount of table-top space. The only thing I can find on either of those sites would run over $1000, they make you buy all the components seperately.

I know there has to be cheaper stuff out there... any suggestions?

I just bought a desk at Ikea a few days ago for the new apartment. it's not L-shaped (didn't want an L-shaped desk to begin with), but it's pretty awsome.

link: http://www.ikea-usa.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10101&storeId=12&productId=25905&langId=-1&parentCats=10121*10390

bought the desk in black with an extra shelf. much more functional than those stupid hutches that computer desks all seem to come with, since they're fully adjustable.
