Where to check GPU utilization?

Sonikku

I've googled it and it appears to be under a performance tab in the Nvidia control panel, but when I bring it up it has no such tab. How do I check it? Using a 1060 in Windows 7.

People download a 3rd party app for monitoring and OCing GPU's. MSI Afterburner is a popular one, because it works pretty much all GPU's. You can set it to display the results as an overlay in one of the corners, or even to Logitech LCD displays.

There are several ways, GPU-Z will show you your GPUs memory load, video engine load, bus interface load, GPU load, etc. But wont tell you what exactly is using what. (if you have multiple GPU tasks going at once for example you wont know which is causing the most load)

If you want to instead look at what programs are using the GPU you can use a program called Process Explorer which can break down GPU use by system processes which can be useful in a few situations, generally troubleshooting system instability or similar.
