Where to buy Ti-86 in Canada?

It's almost time for school, and I'm going into Grade 11 math/science so I need either a Ti-83 or Ti-86. I've opted for Ti-86, due to the fact that I'll be probably taking calculus and Ti-86 is much more suited for that sort of thing. I can't get Ti-89 because it's too powerful, and restricted from tests.

Anyone know where to get cheap Ti-86 caculator? I've only seen one going for $170 at Staples, but that's about it.

Thanks.

Up in the right hand corner of your screen is a section labeled Navigation:.

To the right are the words 'Off Topic.' Further to the right is a little arrow. Using your left mouse button and placing the cursor over the arrow just before clicking results in a menu. Choose 'For Sale/Trade.'

You might need to scroll the menu to access this.

Using your already demonstrated skill of posting here, post there!

Replace 'Where to buy' With 'WTB,' but your original title should suffice.

Viola!:D;)

However this is in america, and the money is probably about the same cost if not more, plus shipping, I will keep looking.

Good luck

I'm not really sure about eBay, because I would have to use PayPal internatioanl, which is confusing on exchange of currency etc. Otherwise I would be all over it. Thanks anyways.

Currency converter.

If you are serious, you could send a cashier's check for the amount instead of using pay-pal.

It looks like if you want a new one you will be spending 160-170 dollars for one your money.

Sorry I couldn't be more of a help, it looks like if you would like to spend less, you must use ebay.

Why the heck does anyone need a $170 calculator for gr 11 math?!?!?!?!?

U might as well bring a laptop.

Either you are super geek, or your over compensating for lack of brains.

littleprince, in my original post, I clearly (hopefully) pointed out that I will be going into calculus later on, so rather then buying a Ti-83, and then buying a Ti-86 because of better features, I would buy the TI-86 off the bat.

Hopefully you understand.

I can tell you I had an TI-83+ and did just fine with that. You might need to be a bit more precise, but you are in grade 11 man, this isn't like my college calculus :p

Well, lots of people have made the "Ti 83 or Ti 86?" Threads, and everyone says Ti 86 is vastly superior and much more advanced and rich in features then the 'dated' Ti 83.

I just thought to be sure I would get the best, and $40 isn't much of a difference between the calculators.

I definitely notice the difference between an 83 and my 86. I love my 86 to death. :)

Wow, my TI-86 is still in the running? I figured it was obsolete, since I bought it 4 or so years ago. Cool! I'm going to the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology soon. It's nice to see I won't need to buy a new calculator.

i loved my 86 until i got an 89. I used the 86 all throughout my highschool years, and my first year in college, i got the 89 and could not have been more happy. The best part about the 86 is the algebraic eqn solver, but the 89 takes it one step further and can solve just about any problem with a couple variables.

Hell I did my grade 12 math without a calculator! not even a cheapo one.

(although my mark wasnt exactly the best..)

But seriously, all you need is a ghetto calculator, the school lends out ti-83's or 82's when you need them for stuff (matrices, etc)

actually, i dont recall doing anything in grade 11 math that needed a good calculator..

Damn...at San Jose State, some professors won't even let you use an Ti-86. Only an Ti-83. No higher.
