Where to buy fitted dress shirts?

I've been /trying/ to improve my style a little bit as of lately. About 95% of the time I wear a combination of these things: khaki shorts/standard-fit jeans/black shirts/striped polo. The time for some change is here I think. I've been looking around at some casual dress shirts and I really like this. Unfortunately, that's $60 and is way more than I'm willing to spend on a shirt.

Does anyone have any suggestions for other places to buy these, cheaper? Brands are unimportant; price is.

Dont know about casual but you can get formal fitted dress shirts for really cheap at JC Penney. Its like $20 bucks for Stafford or IZOD dress shirts. You can tell the fabric is a little thinner and the stitching quality isnt as high but it serves its purpose

Costco/Sam's Club. They have nice shirts/pants there and of course they are cheap. I don't remember the last time I spend $20 on a shirt that isn't a dress shirt.

Hm. I went to Kohl's a while back and got a shirt... it's nice, but the fit is very loose (the size is a small even I think). I'll have to check out JC Penney though.

I have a hard time finding dress shirts that fit. I have a 17.5" neck and a 30" waist.
I haven't measured my chest lately, but its pretty average.

The ones at JC Penney have specific measurements for neck and arm. Just make sure to get Fitted/Athletic to get that tapered fit. A lot of times, stores that sell dress shirts in "sizes" dont fit me, the sleeves are often too long or too short.

Guess clothing at Macys. Guess has come a long way and the clothes are immaculately stitched and have a very good fit. Expensive though.

Just go to Nordstrom Rack. The shirts are rarely fitted, but a tailor can do that for 10-20 per shirt depending on how much work needs to be done.

I've also had good luck at Joseph A. Banks in the clearance section. Again, they aren't the best fit, but they will tailor them there for a decent price as well.

He linked to an express shirt...

Anyway, OP. Don't worry about that $60 price tag. I must have like 10 of their 1mx shirts in my closet right now and usually pay around $25 each for them. They're almost constantly on sale for buy 1 get 1 50% off and often are discounted even more. Don't forget frequent coupons like 20% off or $10 of $30 and stuff like that. Their express cash is useful as well.

I wouldn't pay more than $30 for a plain colored shirt and more than $35 for a striped one from express.

Never pay more than 29.95. ever. there are always coupons, sales and clearances. these shirts used to start out around 20 when this store first started out and only recently jacked up to 60. then started offering never ending coupons and shit

sign up for emails and it seems like nearly every non-high end retailer will have 10-20% off coupons on a semi-regular basis.

last dress shirt I bought was on clearance at Lord and Taylor (Black|Brown, the L&T house brand). it was like $40, I think? worse case scenario, a tailor could probably fit a shirt for you pretty well and it's definitely easier to take it in if the waist is too big.

$45-$60 is VERY reasonable for a quality shirt. Most of mine are $50 a pop, and could be considered cheap among snobs. No idea where to get anything cheaper unless on sale. If you're not a small or extra small, the sale rack should be a wet dream to you.

express has a sale on their MX shirts every few months. When you add their almost weekly coupons on top of that you can get them for $30-$35 a piece.
