Does anybody buy their textbooks online? What are some good/cheap/reliable places to shop for them? I just checked my school's bookstore and for 4 textbooks for this semester, it'll run me close to $600.

Agreed. I ordered 2 of my books off of there and saved at least $75. Next semester all of them will be from there.

I just checked half.com and it looks like I can save more than half of what I would pay at the school's bookstore.

Check the 3rd party new/used deals on Amazon. Just the other day I bought a book on there that was $25 retail but I got it for $3 used from 3rd party.

School bookstore = giant ripoff. I'd get them online and then if you want sell them back to your school's bookstore if they have a buyback program. Next quarter, I'm probably getting mine from the school bookstore and using those while I buy new ones online and then returning the school's copies (in brand spankin' new condition of course).

amazon.co.uk can be quite cheap sometimes even after shipping. I just got my fluid dynamics book new shipped from there for the price of a used book at the bookstores here.

Also addall.com is good book price search engine...searches numerous new and used book sites for prices.

I get most of my books using addall.com.
