Should I wait in line at a store and maybe not get one or buy one off ebay for more than retail? Anyone have success stories or maybe know of some place I haven't looked? Thanks.
 
Just keep trying walmart, target, best buy, etc....they're out there. You just have to keep trying. I could have bought one of them the day after Christmas....but didn't want to spend the money.
 
Wow, three replies while I posted. Supposedly my local walmart is getting 20+ on this coming sunday. I can't get there until after lunch so I am almost positive they will be sold out.
 
1) pretend to be 12
2) get a friend to enroll you in elementary school
3) ask kids if you can play with their Wii
4) ...
5) profit!

Here's something kind of funny. I called my walmart and asked if it was really the case that they were getting a shipment of wii's on the 28th (sunday) as I saw on the wiiseeker site which is supposed to be really accurate. The girl I talked to said it wasn't true. So now I don't know what to think.

Tracker sites are crap. For a system that sells out within hours of becoming in stock they don't update nearly quick enough. I got mine by calling my local EBGames on a complete whim. EVERY single tracker site said that no store had been in stock for more than 24 hours but guess what... EB had just sold out that morning. So I called Target and they said they had a couple left. I got the second to the last one. Moral of the story is: If you want one, you'll get it quicker if you just check your self.

Who cares. Buy the console you think you'll enjoy the most. I bought the Wii because I want Zelda, Mario, Smash Bros, Metroid, etc, etc...

People that are more into racing, fighting and FPSes are going to want either the 360 or PS3. Though right now I'd put my money on the 360 because it doesn't sound like the PS3 is going to hold on to its exclusive titles with such poor sales (plus it costs a good chunk more than the 360).

can't find a DS either.

Want to get one! my daughter is takeing mine all the time. i don't ge tto play iT grrr.

(also need my tax money in to pay for it hehhe)

i had one since launch date (reserved it one week earlier at TRU when they had reserves unpublicized) my sister's bf wants to get one, been looking a few places (Wallyworld, CC, BB) to help him out... no luck
