Where to buy a clevo / sager laptop?

I need to configure a 17" or larger laptop with a 7950gtx (for architecture school... no, i don't want a quadro) and was wondering where the best (i.e. cheapest non-sketchy) place to configure one is. R&J tech looked nice because they allow you to not have a hard drive or memory or even a processor and get it yourself, but is there anywhere better that i am not seeing?

Thanks all!

About two years ago when I was in the process of buying a laptop everyone was raving about PCTorque when it came to buying a Sager laptop. Sager's customer service isnt that great and people were buying through 2nd party stores. PCTorque had an excellent rating back then and they even had a represenative reading and posting, offering help, and info, at the notebook forums which was pretty cool I thought. I believe they are headquartered in Texas. Its been a long while since I frequented those forums so not sure how PCTorque is today but its one company I'd definetely check out if I was going to get a Sager pc.

I'm not sure if any of the PCtorque people are around the notebookreview forums that I linked to, but I believe they still have a presence at www.notebookforums.com, which they might have originally started. Not really sure.

I heard good things about them way back when, as well.

To the OP: If you do go for a sager, I think the 5790 is what you want.

Yeah, it was the notebookforums.com that I was referring to. I should have made that more clear. I havent visited it in a long time. Glad to hear they still have a presence there. You can never have too much CS help in my opinion. 😀
