I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy a capacitor for my video card. I accidentally broke one of the capacitors and the pin is too short to solder it again. Here is a pic of capacitor. Thank you in advance.

Ummm, where in the world do you live? That would help people recommend a store I think :)

Or you could just order online.

http://www.digikey.com/ or http://www.mouser.com/

I would post a better pic at http://www.badcaps.net/ and ask the very helpful, mature
techs over there. Buying just one, will be killed by shipping.

Those are polymer caps and can be read about here http://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1401
I maybe mistaken, but I think the poly caps are much more heat sensitive to soldering than electrlytic capacitors.
So if this is your first go at soldering on a pcb...Well, just ask at badcaps and give it three days tops, for some very good imput.
Here in SoCal you should be able to pick up several cheap. Buy more than one ;)

radio shack carries capacitors, albeit a very limited supply, but you might get lucky. They are in the droors in the back usualy, and odds are an employee will have no idea what your asking for.

Thank you, link saved for a good looking over.

OP, capacitance, voltage & temperature rating can be increased but ESR must not be increased.
I most strongly suggest you seek imput at badcaps.net. You will find them to be a knowledgable,
helpful & friendly bunch over there.
