Where to buy 6 1/2--> 6x9 car audio speaker convertors

Just a thought: where could I buy those? What I mean is putting 6 1/2" speakers into the 6x9 holes in the rear.

The reason why I want to do that is I bought a pair of Kenwood 6 1/2" from a friend, but they won't fit into my 6 1/2" slots in the front doors, so I was planning to replace the 6x9s in the back with them. (6 1/2's sound a hell of a lot better than 6x9s anyway) My only problem is that the metal holes in the speakers for the screws cant reach far enough on one side or the other to screw into the old 6x9 spots (and the plastic on the car isn't wide enough to drill new holes), so I'd need some type of 6 1/2" to 6x9 convertor. I know they make them as a friend (who I am no longer in touch with) recommended that I do that (he also did it to his car as well) but I cant find it on tms-electronics nor Crutchfield. Anyone know where to buy them? (online or B&M)

Medium density fiber board...you can find it at home depot. Take the old 6x9...put it cone down and trace the outline on the mdf...cut it out and then you have a template. Cut out a circle taht will fit the 6 1/2 and mount it to the board...then just put it in. I dunno if that makes sense or not...
