CA seems disproportionately represented, even when considering its economic size/population. New York appears grossly underrepresented, although there is no indication here as to monetary size, just number of projects.

These are the number of projects submitted by various cities, I don't think it represents what was approved!

"The total of cost of all the projects submitted by Connecticut is $2,650,247,958"
"The total of cost of all the projects submitted by New York is $1,272,563,174"
"The total of cost of all the projects submitted by California is $23,194,447,831"

"Might Be" is the key here.

I'm in NC and from all MSM reports we don't know yet what the money will spent on, or how allocated.

While there are always infrastrure/cap projects on the books (schools, roads etc) IMO it remains to be seen whether this Stim money will in any way increase the number of projects; even after accounting for what NC gets in the Stim package we have a projected budget shortfall. So, it won't create any new jobs here.

Yea, but the West Virginia one is a huge one which will cause the state to be renamed after Robert Byrd. Apparently they have run out of schools, libraries and bridges to name after him.

Uhh... likely the most disproportionally(number wise) represented is BHO's state.

* Illinois (1031 projects)

Nope, Florida is significantly more disproportional.

Florida:
2007 population estimate: 18,251,243
Number of projects: 1752
1 project per 10,417 citizens.

Illinois:
2007 population estimate: 12,852,548
Number of projects: 1031
1 project per 12,466 citizens.

I knew this would come up.

Having the third largest city in the country has nothing to do with it does it? It's all because Obama is from here? 9 billion dollar budget deficit, much higher than most state's, but we'll just ignore that little thing too.

EDIT: Just to add a little more to the thread, wth is up with this -> The total of cost of all the projects submitted by Puerto Rico is $22,093,054,016? 340 projects to Puerto Rico?

Surprise, the non-NOVA/coastal regions of VA get to pay for stuff that they get no benefit from. How unusual.
