Where the hell did the term MILF originate?

When I was younger, the guys I worked with and I used the term at the beach we worked at.
This was many years before American Pie.
And the term was great cause not many people knew what you were talking about. Matter of
fact most people had no idea what you were talking about.
However that term was no longer usable after American Pie. Because too many people knew
what it meant.

it has been around for many many years, it is just ananacronym.
stands for mother (or mom) i'd like to fvck.
heard it the first time way back in highschool in the early 80's.

I used to live in MILFORD, Connecticut which was founded in the 1700's so I believe the word is at least as old as the U.S.
